Cafes, restaurants and patisseries
Because my current project is based on interior and product designs for a cafe, I'll be doing field and secondary based research by finding cafes, patisseries, bakeries, restaurants, ect. that either have distinct or creative interior decoration, food or product/branding styles.
The first place I've found through secondary research is a shop in Whitley Bay that sells cupcakes named 'Lottie McPhee's'.
The shop specializes in making creative handmade cupcakes, such as black forest cupcake, carrot and cranberry, hot chocolate and pistachio and rose water.
The interior of the shop is 'modern vintage' style, the inside walls are painted in pastel pinks and little chandeliers hang in the shop's front windows. There are little tables and chairs inside so customers can order tea or coffee and eat the cakes they've ordered inside.
I've thought that I could incorporate some of Lottie McPhee's 'modern vintage' styled cake shop into my own project since I like how the shop doubles as a cafe as well as a specialty cupcake shop.
